with Jussi Palo

A born programmer, Jussi talks tech, Microsoft and his passion for productivity.

So, what’s your area of expertise?

I swim in deep technical waters. With Microsoft as my lighthouse. No matter what Microsoft tech we’re talking about, my goal is to assist on technical matters, either on premises or on the cloud in Azure or Microsoft 365. During my workdays, I do quite a bit of programming with C# and React. I also build a lot of integrations, implement IAM solutions using Azure AD B2C or Auth0, work with IoT, and still occasionally find myself solving the odd SharePoint case.

Wow. That’s a lot of plates to spin. What’s been your most significant project so far?

That’s not an easy question! It would either be the Market Intelligence platform solution I implemented from scratch for M-Brain called Intelligence Plaza – or a massive IoT project for Lindström. This ran on top of Azure and had tens of thousands of sensors installed inside hand towels and toilet paper dispensers. When you ran out, maintenance personnel got a notification on their mobile app!

What has your current role taught you about life?

When programming, it’s easy to just write a script that does some massive task in a matter of seconds. In life, you need more patience.

Very wise words! So, where will you be in 10 years’ time?

In a nice place, looking at a beautiful sunset, thinking back to the crazy times of 10 years ago and being glad that all is now well with the world.

This year, we want to increase knowledge sharing within our Neighborhood. How can you be of service?

I think many of the things I could share would be of a technical nature.

On top of this, I’ve always been interested in productivity – whether in one’s own life or for our clients. I often find myself thinking about how operations can be improved or streamlined. After all, that’s why computers were invented in the first place. I would love to share this passion for productivity and hear your success stories.

That’s fantastic. How can your neighbors get in touch?

The most convenient way is via my work email:  jussi.palo@sulava.com. I can also be found on various social platforms as @jussipalo. Let’s connect!
